Subtle & Delicate

ReAnimator's newest Ethiopian offering is super delicate with a lovely bit of lemonade-like citrus acidity.

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

ReAnimator
ABOUT THE ROASTER

ReAnimator

Philadelphia, PA
Philadelphia's ReAnimator has been exploring coffee's complexity since 2011. Owned by Mark Capriotti and Mark Corpus, this roaster embraces seasonality like few others—single-origin offerings cycle through frequently, staying on the menu for only weeks before making way for something new.
Fun Fact
ReAnimator began in a row house basement in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood with a small two kilogram roaster.

    Excellent Ethiopian!

REALLY enjoyed this selection. There have been a lot of Ethiopian coffees in my subscription but this one had the best blend of base 'coffee' flavor and some fruity fun. It's a little more developed roast, I think, and it just balances really nicely. I might just have to order another bag...

    Tea like and fruity

Love this coffee, I did have to adjust my grind a little finer, as most light roasts call for, but this has been one of my favorites from Trade!

    Great taste. Can’t go wrong.

Great Yirgy (as I call it) taste. Can’t go wrong with this Yirgacheffe coffee.

    Excellent light roast!

This is an excellent choice if you love a light roast that has a wonderful taste. Very bright and fruit forward. Brews up perfect in my V60 pour over. Don't sully it with any cream or sugar!
